Hand Forged 40" Full Tang Handmade Japanese Shirasaya Samurai Katana Sword Sharp New
Traditionally, the Shirasaya is a plain, undecorated wood mounting that housed blades while not in use. The wood housing helped keep the blades from corroding while being stored before being properly fitted.
This handmade Shirasaya katana measures at an overall length of 40" with a VERY sharp 27" carbon steel blade. Both the handle and scabbard, or Saya, are constructed of wood with a dark stained, rosewood finish. The katana also includes a black cotton bag to keep your sword safe. This katana is an excellent piece to own and display.

This sword for the price is by far more than worth it when I first got it there was wax on the blade from shipping like most of the swords I have bought, it was razor sharp right out of the box and when I cleaned the wax off and oiled it I always turn the blade sideways and sight down the blade like most hand made swords you will see ripples in the blade very small waves in the blade, not this one it is smooth like glass the craftsman did a good job, for the price it was very well done oh I did find out that if you don't wash the blood off the blade right away it will stain the blade. Very nice blade I would reamed buying it.
