Quality Solid Cup Hilt Rapiers are generally very expensive, this one is not. It is an absolutely gorgeous sword that was shipped very fast and that's why I rated it 4 stars. It arrived completely dull and makes a great display piece. The quality of the sword doesn't rate higher than 2 stars at best, but what would you expect from a stainless steel blade whose tang barely enters the handle. In fact if one looks inside of the cup hilt they can clearly see an unfinished potion of the blade with an exposed tang hole before the tang enters the handle, therefore concluding that the blade was made for a different handle set up altogether. Additionally the Plaque is useless you have a wood shop because it is not pre- drilled for the provided hardware to hang the sword on and is also not pre- drilled to hang the plaque on the wall with the provided hardware. However as previously stated it's a gorgeous sword. I place it on a multi-tiered sword rack below a rather expensive basket hilt fencing Rapier and above a super expensive cutting Katana and the first one a new visitor went for was this gorgeous and inexpensive Rapier.
